Hot Renault Traffic Club was started in 2000 by Tom 'reedy' Reed and Dan Wright. Disinchanted with the Nottingham music (non) scene and the pretentious (i dont listen to music, i just buy what i get told to by the Enemy) bollocks. They had traveled over the Uk and saw the great nights that they played at and thought.'why dont we do something like that. So 'Hot Renault Traffic Club' was born out of a Belle and Sebastian Album and a rusty old renault traffic splitter Bus bought by there ex manger 'Carl Campbel' the pr guru for 'joe Bloggs' and Manchester Scenster friend of the Mondays and Roses the lads hereos. But something was missing it was a concept and an idea they started trying to book bands off the agents and nothing happend?. So they thought fuck it lets just contact the bands we want direct and thats what they still do to this day. Everything about the events has that personal touch its a freindly atmosphere and bands are encouraged to leave the egos at the door. Recently the lads chanced speaking to Andy McLoud from Pointy records and Club fandango the lads favourite night. This chance meeting has meant Club Fandango is coming to nottingham and being hosted by the lads. So its time to get busy.

Some of the bands we have put on in the last year are, NINE BLACK ALPES, MAXIMO PARK, BLUESKINS, 13 SENSES, NICK ARMSTRONG AND THE THIEVES, THE RESEARCH, THE MARDOUS, FALLOUT TRUST, DELAYS, MY LUMINARIES, THE MORPHINES, LO-EGO, EARTH THE CALIFORNIAN LOVE DREAM, COMPUTERMAN, PHILISTINE, KOOKS, HAL, INSPIRAL CARPETS, ANDI ROUKE, VINNY PECULIAR, THE OLD HOUSE, DOGS DIE IN HOT CARS, REBUS AND MANY MANY MORE CHECK PAST EVENTS IV GOT A BAD MEMORY THIS IS JUST A FEW OF THEM.

Music that we listen to is indie, two tone, punk, motown, Soul and Coutry anything realy that we like so ar nights are usualy quite interesting as you can see by the range of bands we have put on.
